Mr. Kitty, A True Soap Story

Mr. Kitty may be gone from our tv screens, but he will forever live on in our memories.  Take a look at the life of the legend that was Mr. Kitty.  Y&R cast including, Kristoff St. John, Joshua Morrow, Stacy Haiduk, and Peter Bergman dish on what this fine specimen of feline was like behind the scenes.  Enjoy (because this is light years more entertaining than the actual show).

The Moonlighting Continues, Yani Gellman Does ‘Lincoln Heights’

What do you do when Y&R has back burned your character, and you only get trotted out for plot purposes? You find other work, LOL. Yani Gellman (Rafe Torres) makes an appearance on ABC Family’s Lincoln Heights as Marco Gutierrez. Tune in at about the 1:39 mark to see his debut. Lincoln Heights airs on Mondays at 8p.m. ET, so if you’re a fan of his, be sure to look for him again in this week’s (October 12) episode.

“Kate’s 28,” Elizabeth Hendrickson, Too Finds Work Outside of Y&R

liz-hendrickson-kates-28

On the heels of Sharon Case joining the cast of Hallmark Channel’s Man of the House, and Tammin Sursok battling killer scarecrows in Husk, Elizabeth Hendrickson has nabbed the lead in Kate’s 28, a comedy/musical web series from Sam Riegel and Rob Blatt, aka Riegel&Blatt.  No stranger to moonlighting or web series, Liz also stars as Lizzie in Imaginary Bitches, alongside former AMC co-star Eden Riegel.  Love her or hate her, you can’t knock Elizabeth Hendrickson’s hustle.  Check out the pilot episode of Kate’s 28 below.

Shall We Dance? Reason 13048095 Victoria Rowell Needs To Return To Y&R. Phyllis Has Never Had A Better Rival than Dru.

I don’t care what these two woman had going on behind the scenes, but Michelle Stafford and Victoria Rowell had some of the best chemistry on the sets of Y&R. Both Phyllis and Drucilla needed worthy rivals, and the characters found that in one another. Each character had a sharp tongue and a quick wit, and those two things combined allowed them to walk over every other Genoa City woman. But pit them against each other, and it was a match made in soap heaven.

Dru Versus Lily, Round 1- Dru

With all this Victoria Rowell versus Christel Khalil, CK is keeping VR from returning, CK quit the first time around because of VR drama going on, I thought I’d share one of my favorite Dru/Lily scenes.  FFwd to the 1 minute mark for the good stuff.

“We’re finto have a problem!”

I love that bitch, LOL.  Classic!

p.s. When I say ’round 1- Dru’ I mean in this clip. Personally I don’t give a damn what goes on behind the scenes. The show still SUCKS.

Good day.

Nikki Asks The Abbotts for Colleen’s Heart – Y&R Promo, Week of September 28th

Nicole Newman has a hell of a lot of nerve to ask the Abbotts to give Colleen’s heart to Mumbles. That’s hella bold Nicole, and I have no words. This man made the last days of this girl’s life a living hell, and the Newmans thinks he should get her heart? I. Just. Can’t. That’s enough Maria Arena Hell.

Colleen Bites the Dust – Y&R Preview Clip, September 17th Episode

Okay, so I’m not sure if Colleen is really going to die, but things aren’t looking good for the young Abbott heiress.  This week (Sept 7th), she’s held hostage by crazy Mary Jane/Patty Williams.  And it looks like the following week (Sept 14th), she says her last goodbyes.  Rumor has it, Tammin Sursok, who has held the role of Colleen Carlton since she took over for Adrienne Leon in 2007, is out, and tiic aren’t recasting the role.  So either CC is off to meet her father in the big boardroom in the sky, or it’s coma-ville for her.  Check out this preview clip of Colleen’s possible demise.  Are you glad to see Colleen gone?

Blast from the Past – Have you had your soap break today?

Picture it.  CBS.  1995.  Back when the network cared about the people of color on its soaps.  Hell, back when the network cared about their soaps period.  Four men, Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters), Shemar Moore (Malcolm Winters), Don Diamont (Brad Carlton), and J. Eddie Peck (Cole Howard), got together for a little b-ball, and a photo shoot.  There was awful 90s fashion, awful 90s hair, cheesy dialogue of the men reminiscing about their modeling days, and a cameo from Tonya Lee Williams looking like she was fresh off the set of Little House on the Prairie.  In other words, it was the glory days of Y&R– when the Winters had a story, the Abbots weren’t all crazy, and Victor had a possible love child that was sleeping with both his daughter and ex-wife.  Take this trip with me down memory lane.  Enjoy.

2009 Daytime Emmys – Fashion Show

Someone at the crap fest that was otherwise known as the 2009 Daytime Emmy Awards, thought it would be a great idea host a fashion show– and I use the term ‘fashion show’ hella loosely here– featuring some of daytime’s hottest, or not so hottest couples. I had serious second hand embarrassment for all parties involved in this foolery.  And Christel Khalil…no…just…no.  You can judge for yourself, but in the words of Blaine Edwards and Antoine Merriweather, “Hated It!” (two snapz for the kids)

hated-it

p.s. Somewhere, Tyra Banks was backstage shaking her damn head.  Why didn’t any of these hos smile with their eyes?  And where is Miss J when you need him?

e.t.a. The Guiding Light tribute got cut short for a commercial break, yet this foolery was allowed to go on?  And mind you, this crap came directly before a segment in the show dedicated to starving children in Africa.  Directly before.  Without a commercial break.  End of.

e.t.a. part II. To further add insult to injury, Guiding Light didn’t even get to have a couple in this whack ass ‘fashion show.’
