The Man Who Threw Up The Deuces And Said, “Bye, Bitches!” Eric Braeden Has Been Written out of Y&R.
Victor Newman is leaving Genoa City y’all! Nelson Branco is reporting that Victor is being written out of Y&R and Eric Braeden has taped his last scenes on the show. In other words, someone is in the middle of contract negotiations. I’m sure Victor is being ‘written out’ just like Nikki was ‘written out’ while Melody Thomas Scott was undergoing her own contract negotiations, but according to Nelson’s sources, on his last day of taping, Braeden said he may not be returning, and thanked everyone for their hard work.
Everyone and their mama knows that tiic at Y&R have been asking their actors to take pay cuts (we’re in a recession y’all!), and peeps have been eagerly waiting to see what would happen when it was The Great Victor Newman’s, err I mean, Eric Braeden’s turn on the chopping block. According to rumors though, Braeden doesn’t have a problem taking a pay cut, but he does have a problem taking one in the middle of his contract. Yeah, I’d be a little salty about that, too.
As much as I loathe and despise Victor Newman these days, I can’t imagine Y&R without him or Eric Braeden. We’ll see how this all plays out though. I find it highly suspect that more news leaks about the backstage happenings at Y&R than the actual show plots. Things that make you go hmmm…

Aww, he looks so cute ! I can’t believe this hot mess ! First of all, why aren’t the Newmans giving Victor FIYAH ! Especially Victoria who bounced in 2003 when Victor was acting a fool. She wasn’t having that ! What happened to the Victoria who slapped her father ! Shoot, even Nikki tried to slap Victor once. Didn’t Nick turn in his beloved daddy for some crime ? They are dumbing the Newmans to prop and redeem Victor before my boo boo Eric goes home. Not cool. As soon as Victor was rolled into the hospital they were already having Jack throw in ohh, he took bullets for me, oh, he said help Colleen ! Blah ! Story is not being played here ! And what now ? They are going to throw my girl MTS under the bus again after everybody dragged her through the mud b/c of the paycut business ? Again, not cool. I need to get myself a ticket to socal so I can tell it like it is to TPTB. LOL =)

I say to Eric Braeden, get KSJ, VR and a few notables from other soaps and make your own. It’s time to stop relying on the Bell’s for entertainment. They can’t hang anymore. God bless the child that’s got his own I say!
Moni, I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Every soap star under the sun is starting a web soap. These three need to get together and make something happen.

Dayum! The mustache looked good without his stache. I’d hit that. It would be weird to not have TGVN to love to hate…where as the other characters I just hate (I’m talking to you Gloria and Amber). But if I were him I would be throwing up the deuces too and getting off this Titanic (funny since he was in that movie).
Y&R: 1973-2011. I sorry, but EB is Y&R and the show is a mess right now and if their job now is to make the long time viewers tune out and just give up, they are doing a very bang up job.

The only difference Crystal is that TGVN is someone you love to hate! With Woe, it’s just plain old, well-deserved HATE!!!! Lol!
