Y&R Recap. Wednesday, July 15th 2009.

A drunken CC ambles over to break up a moment between nuMac & Ethan Hurri-Con Ashby. She hasn’t spoken to Lily all the day so she has no idea that HurriCon is a fakity fake who used and abused her dear old best friend and naturally Mane doesn’t enlighten her.

Fortunately or unfortunately for her, she has other things on her mind, like the delectable, “I’d do your mom” GCAC bartender Aidan. Unfortunately Aidan’s there to set her up because of Gloria & Jeff’s “master” plan to get her off the Newman board.

Speaking of Gloria, she has just discovered some interesting news: The Mustache is about to get married and she can’t wait to tell Jackie all about it.

While the soon to be newlyweds are planning their nuptials with their non-Newman children, Boretoria rushes in on some Newman business. Hearing the news of their upcoming nuptials she isn’t exactly thrilled and wants to know what TGVN is smoking. Doesn’t she know her daddy? He’s just that devil may care, spur-of-the-moment type of guy, babay and he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do.

In the shed MJ’s got her hands on Sabrina’s well worn purple dress and she knows that no one can work it like her (“Who Wore It Best: Take III?”). After his daily “Boo hoo my daddy doesn’t love me” session, Adumb goes to see MJ and tell her all about his new plan. She’ll dress up in the purple gown, Ashley will lose her sh-t and they’ll laugh and laugh and laugh.

Back at the Ranch, Jackie’s at the door and he wants to know why Ash didn’t invite him to the wedding. Maybe she was afraid that he’d run off with the groom? She talks him into letting her be happy and he tells her that he’ll give her away.

JT’s making good on his temporary bit of freedom from Boretoria by visiting nuMac at Jimmy’s but when he sees a drunk CC having a good ol’ time with Aidan he can’t help but check to see if she’s alright. But CC’s grand! She drunkenly flirts with him for a little while and then sends him off to talk to his ex-gal pal nuMac.

JT heads over to her and discovers that NuMac is in quite the understanding mood when it comes to Hurricon. She tells JT that Ethan just made a mistake. It only lasted a few years and involved attempting to steal a baby girl from her biological parents, conning nuMac’s grandmamma and lying consistently to everyone he claimed to love. But HEY he’s an orphan so we must make allowances for his behaviour.

While JT’s off talking to nuMac, CC gets up to play some music and do some inebriated dancing. You know the kind that starts off on a table top with bar flashing and ends with “Who the eff are you?” the next day in someone else’s bed. Thankfully for Colleen JT swoops in before she can do the morning after walk of shame.

Unfortunately he swooped in right after the flashing which allowed pervy Bardwell to get video evidence of the scene.

It’s a Winters family dinner … Huh? I didn’t know they were allowed to do that in a place not named Indigo. As I was saying, it’s a Winters family dinner at the GCAC and Devawn just got a call from his favourite guy Hurricon Ashby who just wants this message passed on to Lily, “I LUB HER so wery, wery much.” Devawn’s not hearing it though and tells Ethan to hurry with his packing.

Lily and Devawn duck out on dinner and Tyred and Kneel have a cosy dinner for two but Kneel possibly disturbed by her choice of nail dressing won’t look at her face. She wants to know what’s up but he’s too concerned about Lily and her tendency to chase assholes to give Tyred his undivided attention.

And Kneel’s probably right to be concerned because this is what his daughter’s saying to her brother:

Awesome.

Back at Jimmy’s, Hurricon is having a cosy chat with his girl nuMac. He envies the fact that she can be friends with her ex and she tells him that perhaps with time he and Lily could be friends too. But he doesn’t think so, “Time won’t heal these wounds.” No Ethan, but I bet a cancer story will be just the ticket!

And now it’s time for the wedding!
